Have you ever prayed for healing and it just didn’t come? Or have you ever tried to change a certain habit, or thought pattern only to have it return to your life over and over again.
We are made up of 3 parts; Mind, Body and Soul.
When we are trying to make permanent changes in our lives we often time ONLY address physical changes or try to make changes in the way we think.
Have you ever thought about the fact that the bible references soul wounds over and over again?
For My Soul is full of troubles Psalm 88:3
My Soul melts from heaviness Psalm 119:23
My soul refused to be comforted Psalm 77:2
Wounds on our soul can lead to so many issues.
Soul wounds can be caused by 3 things; sin, trauma and generational iniquities.
That’s why changes can be so hard to make long term, we have to change the ROOT of the problem. I struggled with major health issues for years, until I got to the root of the problem. I had wounds on my soul that needed to be healed. Once I got my soul healed, I learned to walk in the righteousness that had already been won for me by Jesus on the cross and my life changed completely.
Wounds can cause strongholds in our lives that can keep us stuck, they can keep us sick, cause us to sin, and abuse our bodies with alcohol or over eating unhealthy foods. They can cause negative emotions, they can cause trouble in relationships, financial struggles, and allow evil spirits access to attack our lives.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against might powers in this dark world, againts evil spirits in heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12
